Boo Paterson is an award-winning paper-cutting and book-sculpture illustrator, as well as a fine artist, creative director and journalist.
Most commonly known for her strong conceptual and political work, she was declared a winner in the American Illustration Awards 2021 and has been shortlisted in the World Illustration Awards twice.
Her clients come from all over the world and have included ‘tailor to the stars’ Christy Rilling Atelier in New York, Arbikie Gin in Scotland, and Arena Mall in Budapest.
Extensive press coverage on Boo has appeared across the globe, including The Guardian, The Week, The Sunday Times, and television and radio. She is a regular cultural commentator on the BBC, and BBC Two has broadcast a film about her work and a radio broadcast on her life.
Boo's fine art has been exhibited at the prestigious Royal Scottish Academy of Art, and she has two self-illustrated books out worldwide - First Art Kit: 25 Creative Papercraft Remedies for What Ails You (Simon & Schuster) and Papercut This Book (Pavilion).
She teaches book sculpture at the Center for Book Arts in New York and the Morgan Conservatory in Ohio.
